Over the last century and a half, Wheaton Lodge has been part of quite a bit of history. There are those who believe that Wheaton Lodge was instrumental in helping the city of Wheaton become the county seat. A number of well known men from the area have been members over the years. Lieutenant Marcellus Jones, a Past Master of the Lodge, is reputed to have fired the first shot at the Battle of Gettysburg. And there’s the determination of the members who kept the Lodge going even after a fire nearly destroyed the building in 1949.

Wheaton Lodge No. 269 is chartered by the Grand Lodge of Illinois A.F. & A.M

2011 marks the 154th anniversary of Wheaton Lodge No. 269!

We are excited to have a fresh group of young Officers who are as committed to the causes of Freemasonry and Wheaton Lodge as our original brethren who founded the Lodge in 1857.
