Trestleboard
Wheaton
Lodge No.269
A trestleboard is a board used by architects or draftsmen
onwhich to place their drawings or plans. The name is derived from the
fact that the "board" is supported on trestles. A more common modern
definition is a newsletter from a Masonic Lodge. Freemasonry adopted
the name from the Books of Kings and the discussion of the building of
King Solomon's Temple.
In Wheaton Lodge, the
Trestleboard is a newsletter that provides regular communication from
the Lodge officers to the membership. The Wheaton Lodge
Communications Committee has authorized the online publishing of these
Trestleboard issues.
